Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact message is retained as needed to answer it. We keep the submission within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive limited technical information when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help aggregate traffic patterns, such as popular pages and exit points. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Diagnose errors and other technical problems
- Measure which resources visitors use most
- Operate the site and improve page performance
- Display advertising that may reflect likely interests
No Court-Record Data on File
San Augustine County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of dockets or personal case records. It publishes directions to the District Clerk, County Clerk, courts, and official search systems that maintain San Augustine County records. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention rules, and disclosure practices govern information entered there. Review the provider’s terms before submitting a query because we do not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Texas courts, clerk pages, re:SearchTX, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once you leave this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Advertising networks serving ads on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices protect information in our control, but no internet service can guarantee complete security or promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide additional rights regarding personal data. The Texas Public Information Act concerns access to government information, while Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses judicial records. Neither makes this private site the custodian of San Augustine County case files. You may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
